right i have an aerox and noo im not one of those chavvy twat hu knows jack shit about peds but i have the following spec hebo 70 kit ginelli exhaust hebo variator kevlar belt delorto 22mm carb stage 6 manifold thats all i can remeber at the minute i used to have a 19mm delorto carb on with a polini airfilter and used to fly but i then braught a 22mm delorto carb thinkin it will make it faster but has went slower any ideas what jet size i should buy and use and also i am using a standerd airbox now cheers for any help or advice given
shit yh good spot its a 22mm and obviously needs settin up but any1 got a guidline to what size jet to start from ?
cheers wolfey and how much u offerin? any one know how to modify a standerd airbox aswell as i dont one the polini filter on as im trying to keep the noise down. cheers
wont like the 21mm carb... if you cant see how it needs modding its gonna be REAL hard for anyone to explain it to ya m8..... try getting some pics of the front back and inside then we can draw where to cut
yeah ive just done some more modding on my airbox goes proper now....and ive had to go up to a 80 main in my 20.5mm yeah your box will need some surgery with a 22mm carb
you recon ill be better with my airfiler on then and another quick question i have removed my oil tank and mix the petrol myself what mixtue should i be running? just need to now how much oil to each letre of petrol? cheers
would of been better to find this out before you started running pre-mix, but... The oil to petrol ratio you want is 50:1 and if you dont know what that means, its 20ml of oil per litre of petrol imp:
cheers fo that capri dave, how you feel bout meetin us 1 weekend capri dave so u can have a quick look at my nike and see what you think its running like ? cheers for all the help
90 jet in a 22 on an aerox seems a little small to me.. try upping it slightly and have a play with the transmission. all the setup is in the transmission really.. carbs will run ok out of correct setting but transmission wont
i read somewhere on the internet that smaller carbs give better midrange performance because the mixture has more velocity goin through the reeds , is any of that true ?
yes, but this revers to full throttle at mid revs.. auto's dont do half revs at full throttle so fuck all reason to apply that rule to an auto. geard bike is totally diff tho
We get more low end out of the big carbs on jetskis then the smaller carbs A small carb will give maybe a bit better throttle response but less power everywhere If you want to get good throttle response out of a larger carb you using ignition timing to do it
