hi all heres a bit of a bin im doing up in me spare time, me boss got a few peds in at a car yard i work at and it reminded me of what i was missing lol... bought it out of a mates garden for £50 after not being used for 3 years or so :grin: after a few nights in the garage i made it look like this dug out my old variator locking tool and took the vari and that out to see what the score was, found out the belt was badly stretched and someone had used the wrong washer thinking that would derestrict it (which has prob caused the belt to stretch in the first place lol) everything was grubby and shitty so i cleaned it all with a big brush and some floor cleaner, this was just before the clean- also ordered a few bits for it, previous owner lost the key so ordered a lockset, set of mirrors, exhaust gasket, lever covers, belt, random washer missing from the vari etc etc panels are pretty shit atm, it was originally a spice girls edition with neon pink instead of black plastics, and as a result some self respecting lad has sprayed them black with satin paint thats wearing away, so ordered some new ones, and spraying the colored plastics white. mechanically its just all a bit siezed, had to unsieze back brake, unsieze cables, gonna bleed the front brake, and just trying to clean and grease all nuts and bolts so it all goes together nicely, hoping to be on the road in the next 2 weeks as i found out my cbt activates a full moped license with my car license and with 2 years ncd its £80 a year to insure, why i didnt sort a ped out for the summer i dont know :lol: sam
little update... applied for a new logbook, finiahed spraying the panels white/black, have used shit paint so they aint the best lol :blink: also ordered new black plastics for it as the prev ones were sprayed black over pink ick: done a bit more cleaning and half got it back together, hoping to have it in for mot next week and get on the road :cheers: also bought this for £50 to replace the rotten peice of shit standard thing - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280741638975?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 total spend - £50 bike £100 easyparts order £30 paint £50 exhaust £30 panels from breaker not so cheap now :cry: still need a battery and new handlebar plastics as the old ones are shagged :blush:
