wasnt sure which section to throw this in so il try here (-8

I plan on picking up a sym jet basix 50 cheap and i have always loved the mx style bar look, now i see the major brand mopeds seem to have stem kits avalibe but as of yet i cant find a stem or whatever it is needed for the sym.

so can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Sym isn't really a bike people go for when it comes to bar conversions, Try scooter attack, they will probably have one. If not you're probably going to have to have one made in all honesty.

yer thats fair play, i was also intrested in maybe a guide as to how its done, im very happy to pull stuff apart and work on cars and bikes, but i have never seen what lurks under the plastics of the bars to know what id be working with as such

im assuming it looks much like bicycle forks?

Ish it's normally just a bolt either through the side or the top and they pull off (standard bars) So it is like mountian bike forks.

superb, just done a bit more research on stems in general and now i understand how it all works, very much like a bmx stem. I will have to see what the sym looks like once the plastics are off and measure up a stem of sorts.

if you cant find a stem for a sym you could either modify an exisiting stem but this would have to be done properly as it can be dangersous or you could try using a bmx stem which might work
