I'm rebuilding a Peugeot Speedfight 100 on a very tight budget. Had to buy a new piston, brake caliper and pads. The rest I'm doing with what I have available in the garage.

Here's a pic of the bike when I got it...

Here's pics of the 2 damaged panels I had to rebuild with body filler...

Here's the frame after sandblasting and a lick of paint...

And here's the rest of the bike....

...and the spider that was living in the handlebars...

More pics to follow later on. I'll be in the garage putting some parts back on the frame, and sandblasting the casings, etc...
Still waiting for my piston to arrive :wtf:

Haha, thanks. I f**king hate spiders, especially that one, it only had seven legs and was the size of a 50p coin. Weren't expecting it to make a run for it when i started getting the paint on it lol

Just modded the clock lights with some 12v LEDS...
    Here's the pic...

Just a quicky which might sound stupid, display light modding isn't illegal is it? It's just the headlights, indicators, brake lights etc that matter. Am I right?

The lights look good mate ;)
It shouldn't be illegal. I only thought it was blue head lights that are illegal?

I think of it as car interior lighting, you can do whatever the hell you want - as long as you can see them.

    More pics coming tonight...

Got some more work done on the frame and engine. Installed the wiring back in the frame, still trying to figure out what goes where...

    UPDATE:

Just found a temperature gauge to fit in where the pug sign is in the clocks display. Not sure where it's from, but it was in the garage. Donated thanks to Phil (sure he won't mind). Got the sender for it too, brand spanker! :p

    More to come...

I know, was thinkin of stickin the temp sensor somewhere round the engine block. The clock display looks a bit boring with just the pug sign, so might aswell put it to some use.

Don't worry, I'll find some use for it ;)

    UPDATE:

Got the wiring loom installed, the front end, and the engine pretty much rebuilt. Just waiting on some ebay items to finish so I can get the paint and the caliper sorted.
Still waiting for the damn piston kit - i think the guy's walking from Derbyshire with it!

Just found out that the speedo drive is shagged, the plastic cog inside is stripped, and the seal is had it. Also missing the bushes too.

Anyone have a speedo from a speedfight they're willing to sell me?

Yeah, i know. Gonna give em another coat of lacquer at the weekend. STILL waiting for the damn piston kit off eBay. I think the guy's trying to do one over on me - not had any messages or anything from him. It's been like 10 days now. What an arsehole.

Heidy ho chaps! Good news is I got the piston kit after 3 weeks of waiting! Completely rebuilt my scoot now, running smooth as. Took me about 3 hours to figure the lighting circuit out, but got it sorted eventually.
Managed to pick up a front end complete with disc, caliper, and speedo drive for £26 from ebay, so got all that sorted out.
Just waiting for the final piece of the puzzle - a front right indicator.
Will be ordering my Scootershack number plate very soon guys!

Pictures to follow shortly if I can find the charger for my camera... :punk: :punk:
