The little ones are for spacing the variator properly for wider belts. The big one is the restrictor - put it in a drawer and forget about it. You want to use the little ones if the belt is pinched by the variator and there is absolutely no slip at the variator on tickover (i.e the belt is constantly engaged and the clutch is spinning on tickover). It's a little known fact, but a pack of Top Perf variator washers is invaluable for this task. Sometimes 0.4 mm difference can be the difference between a good take off and a crap one - whatever you do to the clutch.
