Mtkt Speedfight Headlight surround problem

Hi all,

Got a little problem with a headlight surround i bought from pedparts: http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/1431/mtkt-led-headlight-surround--peugeot-speedfight-2

Basically the LEDs are very intermitent aka they tend to go on and off a lot. They are currently wired into the ignition wiring and whenever the bike moves they go on and off. Although after a while of riding they go alright until i slow down.

your running them from the alternator so its a alternating current not direct

 

:/. Wiring diagram said that it was live from battery .

 

saying that it is lol the ignition is diret to battery for starter ect. my bad sorry have you got resistors in place ?
have you got a good charge in the battery ?

 

I'm guessing there's resistors already in them. Instructions told me to wire them to live. Battery should be ok, pretty new.

 

there wouldnt be resistors in them you need to buy the inline ones well at least i think there wouldnt be lol

 

lol. Looking at the flex ribbon there are because theres little squares that look like resistors with r1 , r2 and r3. And i cant really see why that would cause a problem.

 

resisitors keep the power steady or summat lol only thing it could be is it is actually powering from the alternator

 

Haha. Yeah. To be honest I think the regulators going because the battery struggles to keep its charge and with it being a newish battery I doubt the battery is dying.
