yeah, probs about old bikes ,but as far as i know any recent bike(as in under 25 years old ) has to have full working set of lights, which includes indicators

If they are removed and there is no switchgear for them then it will pass but if the indicators or switchgear is there then they have to work.

but even with no switch gear, the loom is going to have outlets for indicators, and its not like he can cut it off, other wise the bike wont work,
and the testers wil se that it is a modern bike and should have indicators

if u went in with an nrg with a hole in the front where the switch should be and half of an indicator hanging off the front they will know its a bodge job, so will fail it

yeah because they arnt made with indicators

nrg's are made with them, the bike has to have not been made with indicators, therefore will not have a loom to match, and wont have switch gear or the actualy indicators themselves, there fore wil pass, but an tester is obviously gonna know that an nrg meant to hav indicators, even of the person has take the switch gear off etc

if a bike didnt come with indicators new, it wont need them for mot. e.g xr400 enduro. no indicators or mirrors. if it has them they have to work.

remove indis, push connectors in so they cant be seen, duct tape hole, remove switch gear, tuck away connectors for switch gear. as far as i know it doesnt matter when it was made as long as it looks as if it came out of the factory like it, except the duct taped holes (if they say anything just say your fiberglassing over)

but TBH you might as well just buy a relay and switch as there only pocket change, and get a full mot.
