    Hi guys,

Got MOT next week and I'm trying to make sure it will go straight through.

The only problems with the bike itself are the speedo doesnt work (which will be fixed by next week), front brake pads aren't at the best (will also fix before next week), and I have no seat lock (don't think its a problem anyway, lol?).

Anybody have any tips or things to look out for?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Admin/ Mods @ I did use the search but couldn't find what i was looking for. Hope you wont lock.

    Check all bulbs work
    Check tyres
Give the spark plug a clean to make sure it runs that tiny bit cleaner :p

And check the suspension is moving nicely, check brakes, make sure you have a rear reflector and all lights work. Look for wear on tyres and make sure your exhaust isnt too loud. I dont think they do an emmitions test on 2 strokes because im sure they would all fail..
If youve fallen off a few times, check to see if the steering restrictors are broken/bent, and check the steering bearings too.

I cant think of anything else it could fail on?

    Engine/Frame numbers matching rcords/logbook
    Lights/indicators
    Brakes
    Tyres
    Horn
    Wheel bearings
    Engine mountings
    Steering bearings
    Loose panels/seat
    Dangerous projections
    Oil leaks from forks/rear shock(s)

Make sure it's clean as well. A test can be refused if the tester thinks it's too dirty.
