Moped Wheel Painting

What would you guys advice to paint a moped wheel? sand it down then paint it and prime it?

Or would you need some harder protection on the paint.

i would say powdercoating would be better seeing as it wont cost much more

i got mine powdercoated black for about £30 and all i have to do is wipe them ever so often and they look brand new again

 

Powder coating is top notch stuff and available in a huge amount of finishes.

i think you should sand it, prime it paint it few times leaving them for night to dry out, and then getting them varnished as wheels get a lot of chips
