I've replaced the silent block, engine bushes and nylon swingarm bushes on my FXR180 with standard items. Torqued it up to spec and replaced the spring. Still getting quite a bit of sideways flex which looks like it is coming from the cradle. The pins looked perfect when I had them out - no corrosion and not bent. I believe the later runners had some kind of metal bushes or needle bearings on the pins for extra support. Has anyone changed their swingarm over to this style? Did it improve handling? Can you just add them to the existing metal pins or are they a different in later models?
