    Hi again,
Sorry for be a prolific poster but I wanted to separate the questions i have about my scooter so as to get feedback for each question individually. As most of you are probably aware i bought my scooter as a box of bits and set to stripping it down before rebuilding. However, to cut a long story short I hacked off the center stand mounting bolt due to it being seized in place but didn't realize just how much of a pain getting the remainder of the bolt out was going to be. So now i am in a position where I only have a side stand.

I thought this was going to be a real issue with my FXR because, when I owned the 4 stroke version of the Runner (VX) the back wheel always seemed to spin a little when first started. However, the FXR doesn't seem to do this. the revs are higher on choke, but no where near enough to set the back wheel spinning.

My question is, how many people on here only use side stands on their scooters? I am just wondering if there is ever going to be a point where i need to re-instate it in the future!

As always, thanks in advance for any help here.

    Andy
