Im looking for a suitable visor for both day and night riding that will shield my eyes from the sun/glare in the day but not cause me to be driving blind at night. I dont want to be switching visors.

Does mirrored visor block glare and sun? is that suitable for night riding as well?

Have an inbuilt visor in both my open faces, found due to only occasional use/you really do need to have a strict cleaning regimen, even more so then the clear,as can suddenly find needing to use in a tight spot - like when you round a corner and the sun's bang in your face.....and trust me,it ain't a no brainer/when you pull that sucker down,an there's a big fat smudge directly in the spot you need to be paying attention too.;).mk.

yeah, what the others say, get a lid with a built in sun visor, and before you buy be sure to check the safety rating http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/ i use a nolan mudular thing daily, its a great lid, open face but a full visor.

I've used and still have some of the mirrored/iridium visors, as memtioned hopeless at night time and very easy to scratch.

As for reusing a helmet after a prang, your choice your head.

I did this to one of my Arai's at Assen a while back, it went in the bin
