only the old minis. the bmw ones are pure shite. should even get the mini name. theyre bloody 4x4`s compared to the old ones.

Every one should be into minis especially the classic ones there r the best still after all these years i know someone who had a mini sprite 1000 and was the best car ive ever been in combined with the sound of it once he put a soorts exhaust on it from the cooper sport as james may said on top gear every one should own a mini or you r incomplete as a human

You used to be able to get some brackets which pushed the seat back, my dad's mate was about 6'4'' and he drove an old Mini Cooper fitted with them.

i know everyone says you should own a mini at some point in your life, but right now they are just overpriced shite
ones drivable start at 5 grand, and what do you get? nothing but the pleasure of saying you own a mini.

    sod that

Yes Classic minis are still amazing they are very light and capable cars. At 5k you could eat a full on race mini.
They are oing up in value noughts that's for sure. I am after a turbo 1275 gt as it goes.

My old man's got a 1973 MG Midget, he reckons that's a scream to drive. It's off the road at the mo so I havn't tried it yet.

i hate mgs, they have piss poor build quality, you can see in them exactly why the british car industry died, most bmc stuff is total shit i guess, they have charm tho, and look cool

There was an item on either top gear or fifth gear a couple of years ago when some chav in a pimped up 300bhp Peugeot took on a frogeyed Sprite on a hill climb course. The Sprite slaughtered the Pug.
Thre's not many cars which can keep up with a sorted Mini ot Midget on a twisty road.

I had a 68" 998cc cooper in 82-83, crashed it then scrapped it! Then I ran a 1430cc nearly full race for a few years, as you say great fun and fast, at the time all my mates had mk2 escorts etc and my min would eat them!

friend of mine is a mini fanatic he has many brand new cooper engine blocks and genuine cooper spares plus a realy low mileage 60s mini think its done 3000 miles from new , but his best mini is a paddy hopkirk special what he has turned down offers of £130,000 on many occasion as its loads better than the ones at the gayford museum in warwickshire
