I know that the oil pump puts a load on the crank i also know that the little belts can break causing massive damage ,a risk id rather not take. I've seen topics about removing the oil pump alltogether, using spacers and blanking plates and just removing the cable to run premix.

I want to leave everything in place for sale at a later date and take load off the crank i dont just want to remove the oil cable to run premix so can i remove the belt and leave everything else as is .Will this do the engine any damage ,obv ill run premix but is this ok to do on a tuned bike or any bike for that matter .

with no belt there you can leave it as it is...

though id disconnect all the oil pipes and your gunn have to block the spigot on the carb...
