    Hello everyone, again.
With the help of everyone on this forum, I've managed to narrow down the starting issues. I have replaced, battery, starter motor, bendix gear and bendix gear bushings. The scooter now starts but sounds horrible. There's a clunky, metallic rattling coming from the CVT cover.
When I took the cover off, the benidx throw-out gear was fully retracted but the bendix itself could be pushed back a few mm into the locating hole. This meant the throw-out gear was slightly catching on the back of the variator pully. This could have happened when I pulled the cover off but could also be that somehow the bendix isn't seating properly. I can't seem to upload a video annoyingly but does anyone have any ideas? It's driving me nuts!
    Cheers

Check for wear in the two bendix seating holes (cvt cover and engine block)
Could also be the kickstart half moon engaged slightly

I have replaced the bushings in the seating holes so they should be fine. The kick start set up looks ok as I had to re-set it as it had jumped a tooth so I think it's ok. Decided to order another bendix and pulley, see how I get on. Lucky the parts for these things are so cheap!
