Hi..Baz here. Bought a runner 180 recently after a 15 year layoff from vespas and lammys (lost a kneecap after a drunk driver pulled out in front of me..he got 10 stiches in his head..i hope it was the bits of my kneecap they couldnt find that done this hehe)..anyway..i pulled the carb off the runner to clean it and i have no idea if its standard or not..certainly looked it judging by the crud round it. I have a 1998 FXR 180 with 10,000 mls on the clock and the carb is a PHVB 20.5 HD..the carb has a 1998 stamp..it also has a mad bit on the side..that operates the tickover from a screw on the top but it also has a vaccum pipe from the carb body to the bit im talking about and a diaphragm..christ lol. Going to try and post pictures..would be grateful if anyone has any info about this carb and if the jettings the same as a normal PHVB 20.5 carb (it runs fine and is very fast) and if its standard..muchos gracias
Kinda spooky reading your post!,same with the layoff/major chunk out of my left kneecap!, Welcome to the forum. . They've got a pretty good tuning/technical section here for all levels.mark. ..
