hi im new to this forum. from london/derby. ive just recently got a MBK mach g/jog rr and none of the lights or horn are working and the digital fuel gauge fades away now and then even while reving, the only light that actually works is the rear light nothing else even when i press the brake no brake light. i thought it might be the battery or a bulb but not too sure. any thoughts or ideas to what it might be ?? thanks p.s i can try and upload a vid if needed
Could be fuses, faulty battery, bulbs, wiring etc. Easy thing to check would be the bulbs. The rear bulb will have two circuits in, one for brake light and one for tail / rear light. Remove it and check that the circuit has not broken. There should also be 2 objects that screw into each brake lever assembly, they have switches on the end that click in when lever is used, the clicker turns the brake light on. IF it doesn't have these, then brake light wont work. Or maybe levers are not making contact with switches. Indicators, could be bulbs or flasher relay probs. But then I guess if they didn't come on at all, it would be the bulbs or wiring. If they didn't flash, then it's possible a bad earth or relay. Check the front bulb and wiring, It could be as simple as the bulb blown. Before doing anything though, check fuses as it's generally the easiest.
@Snek thanks again pal it was some cowboy wiring with the front headlights horns working and indicators along with brake light
