this kid i no got a 2005 nrg with standard contra spring but a polini kevlar belt and leo vince chrome zx pipe with clutch spings after fitting all of this the bike ran and went fine but all of a suddenly started going about 16mph and revs at about 5000 bought 5gram rollers and it goes 20 at 7000 and crawls to about 7500rmp then flies. what weight rollers do you think will be best.

yeah their is a filter the engine ran fine before the belt so im guessing is altered the gearing it barely accelerated before lol. i thought about 3.5 gram would be good. even before the belt the rollers under-revved and mised peak power so they need to be lighter anyway.

When you swapped the belt has a roller slipped out the variator?

3.5 is silly light... 0.2g on a 50 can make huge differences (the difference between it bogging and overrevving in 50's) the less power you have the more precise setup must be. go for around 4.7 and see from there... if it dont rev up its the wrong belt (or its a restricted pipe)

on the stand it revs up fine and if you have a road long enough it crawls the takes of at about 45 and flies up to 60

if the revs finally catcvh up at higher speeds and it kicks in then yes the rolers are too heavy holding the engine below its powerband (meaning it cant rev more as the increasing engine speed is then loaded prematurely by longer ratio caused by the rtoller weights centrifugal force) all fairly simple once you get your head round it.

drop the weight .2g (not 2g) at a time till it revs more than it moves then increase the weight till the revs start to drop off... theres guides galore on this... check the guides section
