I am about to make an order for a new variator (Malossi Multivar), and would like some help deciding what else i need to go with it.

    So Far:

    Malossi Multivar

Rollers (Not Sure what brand) some ranges between 4.0 - 4.7g

    Variator Locking Tool!!!

Also, would i need any shims for it, and whats the best brand it get in terms of rollers?

    Thank you,

    Does anybody have any comments.

ATM, my stock variator is lagging my power, at about 60kph it is making the revs go up and down (around 1500 - 2000rpm) for about 5-8 secs then maxs out at about 75kph.

Ive tried every roller weight in the world i must need a new variator...

ye diff ramp angle makes best use of power rather than usiung the least fuel..
torque drive kit would help too

i'd get 3.5gram rollers as your lowest and 5 gram highest, personally i buy slightly heavier than i need then drill the centres to get the right weight. its worth investing in a set of chemist's scales if you do this to get an accurate weight reading.

the multivar comes with a contra-spring which does help, and should come with all the shims you need. as minor said, a torque drive will improve the smoothness of the acceleration by altering the rate and angle the contra-pulleys move apart.
