hey do performance vairiators such as the malossi multivar use lighter rollers ( say my scooter runs 5.0gram rollers with standard variator when i put a better vairaitor do i need to use lighter rollers or should they be exactly the same thanks
this is an odd one as i wanted to know this. I am sure you only change rollers when you have changed exhaust, engine, upjetted?? etc to allow for maximum from the parts that have been put on it to benefit? because i am putting on a polini variator on my gilera, everything is standard pritty much and i want to know do i keep standard rollers in it?
yes i fort maybe the steeper angles inside the vairiator it may need to be lighter, owell ill find out when i put it on tomorow ill let you no how it goes
put the variator on on weekend seems to need slighlty lighter rollers maybe because i havnt installed the white contra spring
kk matey, what gram rollers did you put in? because i am 70kitting my bike and fitting polini variator, so will i have to add lighter rollers? even with stock exhaust?
roller weights are NOT a constant... you have to change them for every little change you make, ive had to ajust rollers .5g just for re gapping the plug a little differently. you have to SET THE TRANSMISSION AND CARB UP every time you add anything. stock bikes are shit, hence they get away with running all the same rollers as the performance is shockingly shit to begin with. asking people what weight your rollers should be is a sure sign you have no idea what your doing and should seriously seek out professional help. WHY have i had to say this 10 times already today? to the same people again and again and again....
