this is the nrg as it stands at the moment.. i bought the bike for 20quid off a mate and couldnt decide what todo with it so... i bought a rolling nut engine over a year or so ago now, but ive had a few projects inbwtween so this has just be shoved to the back of the shed, but the time has come to start this project and get myself some transport
the pictures already uploaded were taken over a year ago.. ive had a couple of projects inbetween: i had abit of a thing for mc3's this was just another one i had at the time that got done up and sold, so with this 172 project i have a high standard to keep up to i sold the rizla nrg and funded this evo2 aerox.. any comments on these bikes are welcome too
i recieved some inheritance from a late family member and was told to buy some form of transport with it, so ive decided to crack on with this 172 project! im hoping to go with a full malossi set-up with a pm59 exhaust.. most parts have been bought i will upload pictures as they arrive in the post
got a nice little malossi box through the post! in the box was.. multivar variator polini kevlar belt polini reeds carbon dipped stumpy bars (not sure how these will look on an nrg but theres only one way to find out) and silver stem for the bars and also i got a free pm mug haha
earlier on today i bought a gilera runner radiator with electric fan, and a italjet dragster rear wheel, left to purchase is a gilera runner loom (which im very unsure of which one to buy as tey all seem to be different?) and any help with this would be apreciated .. also i need a starter ring gear plate which goes between the variator and the cases, and the star shape locking nut for the kickstart as these wernt included with my engine.. more pics will be added as soon as i get some deliveries.. Thanks
on nrgs typh's and zips i prefer them smaller bars rather than full sized renthal bars. but the project looks good looking forward to seeing the outcome is the bike going to be wc or ac??
thanks yeah i chose stumpy bars as the nrg front pannel is quite small so thought it would go well! and its gunna be a lc 172 bore thanks yeah it was a very nice bike! and the 172 is going to be the first nrg that i posted
ive spend about a grand so far.. ive ordered a pm59 exhaust and a malossi 172 top end a malossi manifold and reed block and a runner radiator but these are yet to come
well ive got enough left to get me going, but my girlfriend has kindly offered to buy me everything else i need to get on road for my birthday next month.. which btw is the target date for completion (middle of may) yeah wedge alright mate ring me when you leave and get aaron on the way he wanna see the rox
