i got a malossi cdi unit on my gilera vx 125 but i lost the key would i need a new cdi unit or can i just get a new barrel and how would i could the key with the cdi
If you've lost the key, you're gonna need a new CDI. They come stocked with keys specifically for that CDI.
from what ive heard with malossi cdi's on 4 stroke, they illiminate the immobiliser, so try tackign out ur black box and turning it fully to the right. once the lash show on your dash try to start it. if it does then obviously no chipped key is needed if it dont then id begin to think you do.
Shows how much I know. I know if the scooter has an immobiliser, then obviously i wouldn't be able to start it without the coded key. £100 straight away for a pug.
