Well i changed my piston and the case as my old had broke and fitted a new exhaust. So i have been running in the new piston for 150 miles now keeping revs low and sticking at 30. But the bike is alot slower now, it use to get to 50 but now it stays at 35. I changed my rollers to lighter ones as i fitted my new exhaust. Dose anyone no why it has got slower Cheers
sometimes it is quicker to work backwards, putting things as they were to see if it's something you have done, or an unrelated fault. I will leave this for the experts, but as long as your compression is good, would guess it's carburation. Might help if you looked at the colour of the spark-plug, to help the next poster.
did i read it right that you changed your engine case ?? maybe the crank isnt centred properly and is running tight in the bearings...or could be jetted too rich or lean, or the rollers are too heavy... you did check for any restrictors in the exhaust, and remove didnt you..
No i didnt remove the casing, the bit what the exhuast bolts on to lol(dont no the name). Yeah i took the restrictor out, i did have 6g rollers in but changed them to 4g. I think it could be the rollers because when im sat at traffic lights i go to pull away and its really slow then it revs loads then slows down agien then slowly buils up speed.
