Main Jet help =-)

i am soon going to purchase a new sports exhaust for my gilera dna (has a standard one atm)

I wanted to know if i have to get a bigger main jet, or i dont really need to im not sure about it :emb:

when i go on scooter websites the sell 5mm and 6mm jets, i read that i should get about 60jet but im not sure about the 6mm or 5mm, my dna is fully standard.
what do i need? imp:

not sure on sizes just measure yours.
you are ment to upjet when you change your exhaust yes but what exhaust are you looking to buy ?

 

i was thinking along the lines of a ZX.

Main jet for an NRG is 53.. is your DNA a new one or an older one? The newer ones with the same engines as the nrg will probably use a size 53 jet.

After any 'sports' exhaust on them engines you're looking at a size 60 main jet

 

thanks jon, also i looked around on scooter websites they have names of different main jets for different makes im assuming, dellorto for example.

mine is an old dna, not sure what carb it has, its the standard one.

SHOULD have a 17.5mm dellorto carb not im not 100% certain

 

so am i right in thinking the dellorto 17.5mm carb has a 6mm main jet?

yupand 25/25/28, 19 and 21 are 5mm i belive

 

i order yesterday a 6mm main jet 60 (dellorto) by the looks of things it should be fine. buying a gianelli exhaust of a friend so that should be sorted.
