lost speed

    this is not a problem just a querey. a few month back i had a new cylinder, piston, gaskets and exhaust fitted onto my scooter. befor they were fitted top speed was 60mph but now its dropped to just 50mph at the most. any ideas? cheers

    worn rollers mayb ? changing the plug might sort it out

    changed plug many times just to be safe and changed rollers after new cylinder was put in as others were more or less square lol. made no difference to top end but increased bottom end. (not sure what weight there are in kg) any more ideas?

    no i said after i changed the cylinder the rollers were worn so i changed them few month ago and i changed the spark plug other day sorry for confusion. what else could it be?

    roller weights in kg lol ? they must b pretty damn heavy there normally just in g's

    tbh im not sure what could be causing it

    well i think the fact that you have never changed your belt and it is that streched you can make the two sides meet in the middle, and also you have never really tried different roller weights have you so i dont think this helps

    You just answered your own question..you exchanged top speed for a bit more acceleration.
    the heavier the rollers the more top speed, the lighter the rollers the more acceleration(to a certain degree)

    I already know how the transmisson works on cvt scooters.
    So fuck off 'rezzin'

    If he was getting 60 on the clock, his bike is pretty much setup good.
    He changes rollers for 1gram less and now hes wondering why his bike is slower top end????

    it can be so light that you loose top end.. but setting this up correctly rarely looses acceleration.. its just people going from 7.2 to 4.5g rollers and noticing the difference between seriously opposit problems. you want the best mix of both and steady rpm/pull at any throttle position. full throttle is full revs at any speed.. half throttle is half revs at any speed and so on
