Yo guys, got a zip 50 here 10,000 miles its getting on now and is starting to let me down and i have a typhoon engine with no problems at all, was wondering how difficult it would be to drop the zip engine and fit the typhoon 50cc engine as im not too sure if its got the same wiring loom or mounting points (i assume it doesnt) its a 2003 Zip 50 and a 2012 Typhoon 50. Cheers
2T zip ? (two stroke ) would a new top end solve the little scoot in letting you down , would be half the workload of an engine swap if you had to replace loom to, ie pop the head and cylinder off , remove piston, fit new piston , slide on new cylinder, install head and start a new run in for around 250-300 mile. also means no having to send of the v5 and have it all re-done and checked because of the motor change
