One of the reasons I've not sorted the decals this week :emb:

As the zip looks now :D
    [IMG]

the blue panels have been redone. The finish is straight out the gun. They now need buffing up to put a PROPER shine on them

Amongst this chaos theres some more zip panels along with the RG125 panels. Thought i may as well prime the lot while I've got the gun out. All the ZIP stuff is now ready for the base coat. |The RG panels need detailing first

BTW, the garage & workshop ain't ALWAYS a shitole, it just that its overcrowded due to being relocated to larger premises in the next few months...needs must i'm afraid

The building work IS the reason its a mess. I keep acquiring more stuff (off ebay LOL) but theres nowhere left to put it :D As for lazy ....f$*k me...there aint enough time in the day mate!!!!. Thats why I burn the candle at both ends AND in the middle. I get to bed bout 2am and then up for work at 6.45 :wtf:

My exup's in there along with the comp, blast cabinet, fridge, tumble dryer, parts of the 125, the zip.....and the car still goes in EVERY night :pimp:

Its had the crank rebuilt just after we got it, it has a polini 70 kit on it with race inlet, malossi reed block & reeds, 21mm carb, malossi variator & clutch. just got the Evolution exhaust but not had it on the road yet as the MOT expired in Jan...hence the work in progress

I got the pipe cheap (ebay again) to replace a TT that was rusted to f*@k so can't complain :emb:. The 70 barrel was with the bike when we bought it along with the std 50 setup. Both had been seized
The crank was foobarred and there was a 1p piece in lodged in the web :confused:cratch:

honestly though mate, if this bikes for your son, hes gonna get bored of the sport 70, hes got bikes in his family, he obviously likes to go fast, so when he does want an upgrade.....its gonna have to be the polini evo :p

The ped is just used as a run around and to get him to the places where he gets a few quid for cash in hand.
He's 17 in May so will be able to ride the (unrestricted  ) RG125 and he's also after takin driving lessons

Minor, know what you mean about bailing out and doing what you like doin. They'll always be some sort of bills to pay so need to go work at the mo. All the other stuff are hobbies...bikes, AE86 to finish, lathes, graphics, polishing, and just started to dig the footings ready to construct a 3 car garage...the list is endless, unlike the spare time (OMG)

for anyone wondering, the evo pipe REALLY doesent work best wiht an evo kit... assuming it wont run wiht an iron kit is incorrect also.

quick reminder, when discussing tunning, if you havent done it yourself dont talk.

have YOU ran an evo pipe on an iron kit? if the answer is no dont tell people not to!!

im not saying it wont run on an iron im just saying its overkiill.

ive seen an evo pipe run on an evo barrel and was really impressed tbh. so i dont see why recommending it is wrong?

i no what ur saying and i agree, if i had NO experience i'd keep quiet.

its overkill? suppose a c16 on a corsa is overkill? thats an iron kit... IDENTICAL timings to the evo kit...

match the pipe to the exhaust hight. simple really... the width of the port plays a big part, but the majority of a pipes work happens in the first 5% of the ports opening (at whatever timing that would be)

using a pipe thats lazy on an evo on an iron kit is the way to go... like a c16... work on an evo or an iron, not right on ether, but it works well. same wiht a 16 on a rep.... funny how the 16 works really well on anything wiht a hight between 21/24mm and the 21 works on anything 19/21mm

basicly. the evo pipe isnt all that. hence nobody really uses them... they DO work REALLY well on irons/corsa's and the like, just expensive. they dont really fall into any bracket since the r1400 (i think) an the c21

who cares anyway? if worst comes to worst its always BETTER to have more pipw than barrel, you can cut a barrel to match a pipe, cutting ipes to match barrels is LONG.

just so you all know, theres 2mm in hight on every port between the corsa evo and the iron kit, the ammount of ports there widths and the angles they hit are totally diff... but as far as the pipe matching go's mathc it to the exhaust port (width and hight)

so to conclude, the evo pipe REALLY isnt that bad for an iron kit ;)

back together..just needs the pipe fitting and carb jetting to suit

Minor, you were right about the pipe being OK. When it gets going its nippy to say the least ;)
He had it up to 72 along the local straight and was confirmed by a friend in a car behind
Not bad for a restricted 50 :emb: :punk:
