imp: everyone knows it was going to happen... OOHHHHHHHhhhhhhh...... what is it.... more pics and vids coming soon mabe more parts
lol trust me always warm it up now...never let it get low on oil.... and other basic stuff and :msn1: VE says wear it in for 600 miles
if you got things wrong with it get it sorted first i thrashed mine from the beginning and it was fine. 50 -100 miles before you proper full throttle it though but from new wheelies galore :bird:
I ran my 172 kit for about 40 mins at 40-50mph then had it upto 65mph after that. didn't go over that for a couple of days (mainly cause I was riding round town. first chance I got it I had it full throttle) Love the speed
My advice - Do 30 in a 30 zone - 40 in a 40 zone and so on! Make sure at first you accelerate quickly, and accelerate slowly.. And the same goes to slowing down, let the bike get up and down the revs in every way it can. Quick, slow, and average?! Then after about 50-100miles, you can start pushing it. But dont thrash it. You wont believe how many busted cylinders i've seen sitting at my local garage. They stick them all on a shelf, and put the name of the person who wrecked their big bore kit under the cylinder...Classic.
that happens with 70s alot but 172s are totally different once it fitted. let it run ticking over with a few revs until its fully warm. then let it fully cool down then take it for its first ride on mine when i went on the test ride it was trying to wheelie straight away :w00t:
Theres 2 different running in processes depending on what type of barrel you have!! iron bore takes 500km of running in...Alloy with nikasil plated bore takes 30-40mins And yes most 70cc bore kits end in disaster through lack of additional lubrication...you have to adjust the pump to supply more oil or if thats not possible add extra oil to the petrol
right finaly done..... long ass story to tired to type it.... i will type it 2mo... lets just say the bike started with the 172 kit and went FULL fuckin revs :w00t: and to make it worse the key woudnt turn it of :msn1:
air leak or some other carb problem looks like you'll have one to add to that shelf that was mentioned.
