longest journey or distance on your scoot

ok so whats the furthest you have been on a scooter or moped in one go?



for me it's 65miles each way on a journey from home (newark) to just the far side of ashby de-la-zouch.



Just messing about and riding for the hell of it, its about 120miles on my area51. the sameday i went from newark to cleethorpes (and it was cold there)

 

Mine to portsmouth and back 70mph the whole way

Runner 125SP.

about 100miles.

When i first got legal, i did about 120miles in one day, couldnt get enough of it. In a couple of weeks, i should be making a trip to Peterborough, about 35 miles each way, but im going to meet someone so, itll be a fair bit more.

 

yeah, its so much better riding with someone else, especially ifthey ride to a simelar standard as you because you can make constructive criticism about their speed, cornering and the odd time you see them streighten upmid corner and take to a field.



the miles just seem to go by somuch easier

 

same as Ciar?n, all the way to portsmouth, don't know how many miles but it was looong but going through country roads was jokes tho

Yeah, me and morgan once rode down the A1 (not the motorway part) and it was a hot summers day, and there was about 3 miles of traffic, it was heaven, filtering really fast, and going down the bits that were for roadworks lol. Cant wait for next summer

Weather ranging from: Sunny and dry, moving to cold and dry, fine drizzle, snow and freezing winds to sun and slick roads on arrival.



48hrs later return journey made at night.

Number of occassion SR broke down: 1 (Sheared engine mounting bolt @ 75mph hock: )

Im hoping to go a lot further once on my CBR, there's a chance my sis'll be working in Cannes again this year on a holiday camp, so that'll be a rideout and a half. We'll see.

 

I did Tonbridge (Kent) to Cleethorpes for the Rally in 2002. For some reason the Margate run hurt more- 90 miles there and 90 back on the same day!

seriously, on my birthday im going with a full tank of petrol, aa cover, a bottle of water and a map and i aint coming back til ive got all this built up urge to ride outaa ma system lol

On my SR 172 think the longest journey in one weekend was



Clacton on Sea, Essex - Stevenage, Herts...73.5 miles (stayed overnight)

Stevenage, Herts - Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough....41.7 miles(camped overnight)

Santa Pod Raceway - Clacton on Sea....128.8 miles

Total: 246 miles



The whole weekend was torrential rain, thunderstorms...was quite scary aquaplanning most of the way there on flooding roads with all the camping gear on the back hock:



I've also been up to Ace cafe a few times...160 mile round trip

and southend on sea(great london run) 120 mile round trip



never had a problem with the SR on any of those trips, or come to think of it ever :bird:

ha ha did the most mileage on my speedy. when i first got it it seized after that i did



north london to southend- via luton and harlow to pick someone up and see my uncle. 80 miles. 3 hours and 15 minutes. 1 fuel stop



southend to basildon - 3 times there and back 60 miles fuel stop



driving around sea front and random places like a raceway where everyone was doing wheelies and stuff 60 miles



southend - north london via harlow and luton 80 miles. 3 hours 15 minutes 1 fuel stop



total 280 miles in a day and a half.



oh yer a 50 speedfight did the same journey as me as well



fucked up stuff.



also did southend a few weeks ago. 120 miles. because i went the quick way lol



southend is wicked but theres not much action now because of the weather. normally do 50 all the way on my speedy. hoping to do 60-65 all the way when i go regular when the weather gets nice

718 Miles over a weekend. York to Oudenburg in Belgium for this years Darkside Rally. Jogger never missed a beat, and hardly even used any petrol!

longest jounery on my drag was going to the isle of wight rally last august say 160 miles there and back with no problems what so ever.
