Ill put some pics up soon of the bike right now an my progress i got the bike running right now but its not running correct anyone know what main and pilot jet i need for 25m carb with airbox ?
Nobody can tell you exactly what jet you need, every bike is different. The best way to do it is to buy a pack of jets and start with the biggest, working your way down until its perfect.
Yeah they're good fun with just the 172 and carb tbh you will be very pleased. The gearup might need to be pressed in so worth a check if you go down that route. I had about 100 main and 40 pilot with a open filter. Pilot jet doesn't really need much tuning Good luck with it
I cant seem to find no fx or fxr back wheels right now its been a hassle because i realy do hate the handling with such small wheels still fun tho and will the front wheel fit without havin to change the speedo ?
What do you mean by pressed in ? And i want the gearup because i dont like it when its to jumpy on the throttle dont want it to just try lifting every second and i think ill just buy a pack of jets and work my way down
It might be hard to fund a place that will do it and they might want it as a bare cases. I hated it with mine too I went a lot heavier on the rollers over 13gs
The secondary gear-up is pressed onto the rear axle, you need a 10 ton press to remove and refit the gears. As for the front wheel, the early 50 runner will fit straight in, same speedo drive/spindle etc, the only difference is the disc is bigger so a caliper extension is needed and I think I've got a spare one to fit.
And i been looking on ebay not many of them tell me if the front wheel is old or new how will i know if its gona fit
The runner 50 front wheel has the same hole for speedo drive in it as the typhoon wheel, I'll have a look for the caliper extension. Any half descent scooter/motorcycle workshop will have a press. I have a complete runner 180cc gear set (rolling nut) for sale if it makes it easier for you?
Yh sounds good if its still in good condition then why not far as i know original parts are always better what price where you looking for it
Just got back from holiday gnu put up some vids gna order the jets this week and try get it correct then as soon as I have the money gna start ordering parts gna put up some pics tomoro of what it's looking like now
Finally got round to ordering a new throttle cable and jets got a new inlet to due to my other one splitting so should get down to jetting soon as they come through
Right my inlet cables and jets Come through got round to doing up the bike it's all running now think I still need to mess about with the Jets got it running with no filter think I'm gonna keep it like that for the time being got a Mallossi head and barrel of a friend just need to order a piston and that can go on the bike what will be the best piston to get?
The correct piston from Malossi, there graded so look at the base of the barrel to see what size it is!
Little preview of the colour of the panels should have all them by the week then just need to get round to getting a piston
