i need to lighten my rollers up by small bit and was just about to order some when i thought about just bodging them by drilling the hole in the middle of each one out abit so it lowers the weight of each one, i couldnt think of any problems that would occur from doing this, anyone done this before ?

As long as you have a steady hand and a good set of scales you can't go wrong ;)

was how you did it befor you could buy weights... make sure its 0.5 max your drilling out at a time to keep the weight central.. more weight on one side of a roller will cause vibration.

as said tho make sure you have good scales and try each time you drill as its easy to take weight out but impossible to add it

    lol.
Thats so it's not metal on metal causing lots of friction/heat and possibly distorting the shape.
Also means the rollers wear out, not the variator.

if you have new 5.5's and the 5.2's are a little too light you can have it done in 5 mins.... needs must.
lighter made rollers will be denser material tho an so wear slower
