lightening gilera runner 172

    alrighty people :) , just wundering if anyone knows or has any opinions on wether lightening my flywheel , variator and clutchbell would make much difference and isit worth getting it done ? cheers

    i haven't ever had mine lightened but it should make a difference as theres less load on the crank i would talk to shiny red or minor for more info tho

    no, it womt make a difference, theres no point doing it.... thats why people do it, just so it looks nice



    of course its worth doing. stock parts are cast and verry slack on tollorance hence balancing them keeps the engine happy. the less mass the crank has to turn the quicker it can accelerate.. meaning less weight makes an engine rev up quicker.


    people dont do things for the sake of it
