i got a little problem with my ice 125, the thing is the lights only work when i hold in the brake, i think it might be something to do with me trying to wire up switch gears but as soon as i pull the brake in the lights work perfectly except the flash. the horn and indicators work fine. just the main light dont. any one know what it could be??

only wired up the left hand switch gear. and wasnt to sure if i done the high/low beam one right.

    thanks

if i understand what u mean coreectly then one of the light filaments may nave gone. there is two in your rear light. 1 is the light and the other iss your brake light

bulbs and fuses are fine. the headlight only works when i hold the brake in, if you thought i was only talking about the rear light.

    checked your earth?
Have you had to wire the actualli clips together for the switchgear? sounds like you may have wired a colour to the wrong one. But check your earth, all connections aswell, follow the wires back, all of them untill you can find a fault, if no faults are visible then its time to dig deeper.
But im pretty sure it is a loom problem mate

The circuit must be broken(not literally) but the light only comes on when the circuit is completed(when the brake light switch is activated by pulling in the leaver)
so just strip it and make sure everything is where is should be.
are u sure it aint a fucked loom?

make sure ur battery is fully charged and working. Check the regulator for a burt or burning smell, check all fuses are in there and correct ones are there and also ur relays. can onli be something minor

usual cause for light failure is a dodgy connection on the oil tank (ye sounds funny)
