Lifan 125cc 4 Stroke blew then won't start

Lifan 125cc 2014 plate 4 stroke. Riding down street. Heard was was like a realise of air pressure from engine then the bike died.

Now the bike turns over but won't start.

Any ideas?

Bike was running fine. Heard what was like a loud release of air or whoosh type sound from front engine area. The bike bogged then stopped.

Now it turns over but doesnt start. It sounds rougher than it did before.

I checked the spark plug and there does t seem to be spark?

 

That was probably an expensive sound.

 

But what could it be I don't mind having a go myself.

 

Check the compression.

 

Hi I checked the compression with a compression tester and unless I am doing it wrong which I don't think I am there is 0 compression reading. The needle does not even move.

I also did a spark test and there is no spark in the spark plug.

The bike does turn over but sound rough.

Any ideas?

 

Guess it was an expensive sound. Snapped timing chain? Broken crank?

 

Bent valve? Best take the top off to examine or take it to a shop !

 

I've stripped the bike and am going to look at the valves, chain and crank. I'll let you all know the outcome.
