    Hi Guys,

I have a 1999 Piaggio Liberty 125 4 stroke which I have been riding as my daily commute for the last year and it has been fine - starting on the starter after a few turns or a few goes if left standing over the weekend.

Last week I noticed when parking up it would drip some oil which also smelt of petrol. Also while it still starts ok it now tends to cut out unless you open the throttle a bit until it is warmed. It also 'kangaroos' for 30-60 seconds from cold - then it fine. It didn't do this before.

I have had it on its side and cleaned the area underneath where the oil leak/build up on the case is - but I cannot see anything obvious. I have attached some pictures.

Has anyone experienced anything like this on a Piaggio engine or can give some tips on finding the source of the leak.

    Thanks,

    MArk.

This is the pre-leader engine, sometimes the O ring seal on the oil filter housing (picture 1)can leak, worth checking out!
