license points are they carried over?

i just wanted to know whether points on your licence you get for a moped are carried over to your full car licence or not? one of my bros mate had a ped at 16 and he got 3 points but app it dont appluy for a car.

 

As far as i no it does...?

If you have been given points on your uk valid licence prov or full they stay with you until the time is up which in most cases is around 3-5 years..

But i aint 100%..
