Hi I'm a noobie both here and to Scooters in general so please have a little patience with me I bought a Lexmoto Gladiator 125cc 63 plate moped. It had just had it's first NOT so I thought everything was going to be fine. Long story short, it's been making a rattling sound whilst riding and a squeal on start-up for the past week or so. Cut to today and it started making a clicking/small banging noise from, presumably the crank case. I ignored it but went over a pot hole (it was dark) and it got worse and worse. Eventually I was stopped at some traffic lights and the engine lost power and made a strange bang/pop noise also from the crank case area until I revved it up a little. The noise is still there. After countless YouTube videos etc it seems to be either the gears, belt, variator or crank shaft etc. I'm at a loss and can't really afford £100 for a mechanic call out plus parts and labour.
