Lexmoto echo, derestrict

    Hello, i've just bought a lexmoto echo to get to and from work, anyone know how i can make it go a bit faster please, i bought an unrestricted cdi, took seat bucket out but can't find the cdi anywhere, does it have one?, any advice would really be appreciated

    Is it a new one with fuel injection?

    I think so yes, E4 LJ50QT-5L. I bought the cdi from euro scooter parts which clearly stated the bike model, thanks

    Yeah, its probably not got a cdi, it will have an ECU instead, you need to reprogram the ECU to get full power.
    Sometimes EFI bikes have the variator ring, but nearly all of them are restricted by the ECU

    Oh ok thanks for your help, i had heard about it being an ecu, maybe i can get it reprogrammed then by a garage and check the variator, thanks again for your help

    You might find there is a sensor you can unplug, coming out from the transmission cover somewhere.

    Oh ok thanks for that, ill check the variator , hopefully get a bit of speed, thanks anyway

    On a yamaha neos 4t just changing the variator gets it to like 50mph.
    Might work for yours too.
