what can and can't you do with bike tests at 17 years old. how would i carry a pillian or get a bigger than 125 cc etc? that kindof thing. it's been puzzling me for a while.

to carry a pilion you need to take a full bike test

if you do your bike test you can ride up to a 125 , you can ride a bigger bike aslong as its restricted

correct me if im wrong people , iv never read up just quotin the gossip :pimp:

    ok:

    16 years old:
    upto 50cc moped, CBT

    17 years old:
    Upto 125cc motorcycle, CBT
    or
A2 Bike test, upto 33bhp (2 year restriction)

    21 years old:
    A2 as above
    or
    Direct access (no bhp limit)

you can also take an auto test or a full moped, neither are worth the hassle.

yes it does but its not worth it, you need to take a theory test and practical to ride a 125 without L's and with a passenger, you could do this and get a maxi scooter but why bother? pass your test on a 125 geared bike and you can ride any bike you want 33bhp

but in 10 years time when you have to do a triple backflip through a ring of fire whilst scratching your nuts to pass your test, and you want to ride a geared bike, you'll wish you did your full test rather than the auto test which is pretty much the same except you dont hat to change gear.

youll have to pay for lessons so find a local riding school (where you did cbt?) and use their bikes, riding a geared bike is so easy i could do it blindfolded :wtf:

your not intending to just go to a test centre and ask them if they could test you some time that day are ya? LOL

i really wouldn't mind getting a 125 for a couple of years to keep my insurance down, whats the most reliable second hand 125 you can buy? sorry if this is not relevant to the forum.
