Left hand or Right hand????

    Heya im trying to take off my variator (i think thats what its called) its the nut that allowes me to get to were i put the rollers.i want to no is it a left hand thread or a right hand thread?and will an impact wrench get it off?

    Na,, i aint got an impact wrench or holding tool, best to ask somebody's who knows what there doing to do it then if you don't.

    its easy to the left and i stoped useing a impact gun in fear of nocking crank out of line but have done it pleanty of times and its been ok

    Wich way is it to tighten up?left or right?iv just given it a few hard smacks and nothing seems to be happening im wondering now if im tightening the nut?btw its the first time its gona come off so does this make a diffrence?

    dont use an impact driver on the crank! get a variator holding tool and use a socket wrench, or use air tools.

    If you dont know what way you turn to tighten up a nut you need to reconsider working on your scoot yourself before you damage something!

    Impact gun is fine. Used it plenty of times. Just dont over use it.

    i always use an impact gun (sensibly) and never had any problems :D

    but theres nothing wrong with useing a locking tool either imho!!

    And the nut is just conventional...left to loosen...right turn to tighten ;)
