hi, i could do with a little help please. i have just brought my son a generic worx 125 2013. i have purchased some bright led strip lights to stick on his bike to make him stand out more. i will be adding 1 to the rear 1 to the front and 1 for each side of the bike. my question is what wires on the bike would be the best to connect them to, i don't want to wire them direct to the battery as they would be constantly on. the leds have a black and red wire coming from them so i expect that is a live and negative. so please if you are able to help with what wires i need to connect them to so they only power on when the bike is running, thank you for any help
your best bet is to connect them to either the headlight or the taillight, that way they will come on with the normal lights, be warned, its not strictly legal to add lights to a bike, although the police dont seem to care too much
You will need white for the front, red for the rear but it must not be brighter than the rear light, if it is below the no plate it technically is a fog light, and you need Amber to the sides, if you use any other colour your son may be pulled over by the police.
