Hi Chaps I've just replaced my technigas for a lazer x pro and holy $hit it is so slow I nearly fell off.....my technigas was real loud but my bike went like stink my new lazer x pro which I thought was a pretty good pipe sounds like a wasp and sounds heavily restricted....do the lazer x pro come restricted or something or is there something I can do to improve this. I'm going to swap the rollers later but it really won't help that much as I've tweaked the rollers before, this time the engine feels like it's being heavly restricted from the exhaust gases leaving the pipe.
Yeah it does come restricted lol also you will need lighter rollers as im guessing the laser x pro is ALOT revvier than your previous pipe
Yep there restricted were the pipe meets the exhaust outlet on the cylinder, if you take the pipe off and look down the end were it meets cylinder, there will be two welds holding a resitrictor cone in, break the welds somehow, drill, grinder, bend them out theres a few difernt techniques then take the cone out and re-fit
yeh they come restricted, take the restrictor out of the manifold. and drop half a g on roller weight, laser is higher revving
Ok do you mean take the exhaust completly off and look down the part that connects onto the engine head ? I'm sure I had a look and there wasn't anything down there or is it quite well hidden ?
yeh thats where it is, stick yur finger down there and if i doesent go down past and inch then the restricor is there, its like a cone thats restricts the diametre of the pipe
ahh ok I think mine must be deristricted already it definately didn't look like that..... Can it be restricted in the tail can as it's sooo quiet it sounds like it's so muffled it can bearly expell the gases
lol I'm not having much luck :w00t: still I'll get there in the end.....errrr someday :w00t: Still I'll only paid a £10 for da lazer X pro which is pretty good
I think it might have a dead pigeon in there somehwere :w00t: It was a chap on this forum who sold it so I'm sure it's a goodun
yes there deinately is a cone in the top of the exhaust pipe I grinded it out my my laser x with a dremel tool and a small cutting disc, the restrictor cone is on my project page, there are two spot welds you need to cut the laser x pro is shitter than a standard pipe restricted it says so on a dyno graph Ive seen somwhere, so you definately need to remove this cone
something is not right here then what rollers you running lucky? ive got 4.1grams anything close to this is pretyy good Ive found, if its standard rollers it may be as much as 5.5 - 6 grams so try a set of 4's to begin with and start from there that is ofcourse if there nothing wrong with the pipe itself also whats your jetting like lucky?
