you must have both front and rear L plates, for each missing L plate with a arsehole cop youll get 3 points and a £60 fine. its illegal to not have a L plate on the front. if you are riding on a CBT you must display both front and rear L plates. most of the police don't care but one day there will be that exceptional arsehole of a cop who decides you not having one is worth 3 points and £60 fine.

    hope that helps.

    behind windshield?
can get brackets for them to go onto the fork, if anything, just put one on the mudguard, I doubt youd get a cop that much of a arsehole that will bother doing you for having it on mudguard, as long as its there, should be fine.

pointless doing test unless your 19 now (assuming OP isnt) because youll be stuck on a 125cc. atleast i dont have that issue

I don't need L plates, but I've noticed coppers looking at the front and seeing that I don't have one then looking at the rear.
Unless they were just "admiring, my ride" [moviequote] I'm sure I would have been stopped if I had one on the rear and not the front.
