hi guys i got a kmx 125 1988 plate were to start i was riding with me mates about a week ago my bike stoped working went to start it just keeps back firing put new plug in cleaned carb checked piston rings all fine then i got it started went down the road bikes got now power and getting very hot. some one said its the crank seals but there is no oil leaking and i have 130 psi? cheers jordan
I had one - 125 + KIPS = awesome bike! By "hot" do you mean the temp gauge on the dash? IIRC the sensor for this goes into the head next to the spark plug so if thats reading high then you may have a problem with the cooling system. Did you bleed the coolant system after you did the rings? Also did you fit new gaskets as you have have a leak? 130 isn't great compression from what i remember. Also i think mine had a kill switch tied to the side stand (if its down the bike won't start)...they get flaky sometimes causing starting issues so best to bypass it if you're having problems.
hey guys reeds are fine kill switch stand is not on the bike no more some one took that off so its not than only some times it will back fire.the engine is getting pretty hot think i might be runnnig lean at that time i was premixing it i did have a small engine leak from some were think i am gonna rebuild the hole engine and go fromt there cheers guys any more help would be good
