ok so i put the kickstart cover on my engine and the kickstart is solid take the cover off again and the kickstart moves fine however the vari etc spins fine and the piston moves up and down nicely any ideas?
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized you have an old shape engine wiht a new shape bigger front pulley
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized other way round new engine old pulley. still a problem?? will i need whole thing vari n all changed or can i just run it off the leccy start ps thanks for the quick reply
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized ok, should clear.. id guess the spring is out of place holding the crescent gear out on the kickstartt cover meaning it clashes wiht the pulley.
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized found the problem fuckin outer pulley aint on enough and its rubbing on the kickstart case
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized this makes no sence now as outer pulley is as tight as it will go now it cant get any tighter its up against the spacer yet it still sounds like the outer pulley is rubbing agiainst the kickstart case when i move the kickstart is the nut on inside engines vari n front pullley wider then on the rollin nut engine? or maybe theres different washers or something just so i can rule that out as the problem
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized check the spring.... it could be holding the kickstart gear oput ~(the big moon shaped one) common problem. the centre of the gear should be flush wiht the inside of the casing
Re: kickstart wont buge but engine isn't seized it all looks fine and i even took apart my other kick case just to compare and they both look exact same
