well one day i took my engine case off where the kickstart is ... then i droped it and the spring has come off anyone no how to get it back on?? thanks
you will need a long thin extention bar, 4 pairs of hands and a hammer. you basicly sit the crescent gear shaft through the tranny cover but not fully in, place the bar in to the spring grove and onto the end of the spring, wind the lot round 36t0 degrees (not easy) then hammer the gear fully into place and remove the bar. if you do it right the spring should just pop into place. now you have to put the washer and circlip in place without dropping the spring. it will probably coil up wrong and part of the spring may stop the plate sitting fully in. just takes some fiddeling and lots of gripping firmly and hoping the spring dont fall out of place. i feel for your knuckels tho m8. percerveerance will pay off tho so dont loose your temper with it
