kick start jammed and noise coming from pulleys

I have a speedfight 3 ice blade and the kickstart has jammed, has been since I brought it few months ago, recently I put a lot of weight on it and it moves like 1/8 of the way round now but doesn't grab. also there is a noise in the crank case where the clutch and rollers are, it sounds like something is spinning round after I have let the revs off, is it possible that the teeth have snapped off the kick start gear and are rattling when the belt is going round. its booked in at place where I got it from as it has a Peugeot 3 year warrenty so it not cost me owt just wanting to know if that is what it is. also it has a sports exhaust on at the moment will I need to take this off before in for repair so it doesn't void the warrenty or will it be ok?
