    Hi there,

I have a Doppler S3R, given by my mate, when i bolted it on, had boost to 40mph and then bogged, wouldnt moved, got told lighter rollers, tried 5.3's, same, tried 4.7's, same. Im thinking now the exhaust is asking too much from my engine as its ideal for a 70's

So i'm thinking, a Leo Vince TT, ive been told its a Low Revving pipe, and ideal for a standard 50cc as im not doing anymore mods (70s etc) and my bike is blue and yellow, and can a blue end can, as it will just suit more.

I've posted this, as im going to put it into a Piaggio Dealer near me, that sell the TT and they will jet it correctly etc etc etc. So i'm thinkys shall i get the TT as it will be better for my bike and as its low revvin, ill keep my acceleration etc or just use the doppler?

Whats better for top speed, im hitting 40mph on flat, 50 downhill, ive only got variator restrictor removed, and i want it to be a bit faster, any one know (rough guess) what the speed will be like when either of the pipes is fitted?

    Thanks

Jesus christ. How many threads do you want pal? People will just ignore you now.

Dopper S3R is a better pipe than Leo vince TT. Stop spending money on exhausts and upjet.

Whys it every time someones asking the same question about an exhaust on a standard cylinder head.....theres a fucking guide in case you hadn't noticed that has been complied using knowledge that if set up right the said exhausts will work well on the recommended cylinders.

So you wanna get rid of the doppler why cause you don't wanna upgrade to a 70cc kit...why cause it's illegal or summat? Just stop wasting your time you've got a nice pipe just stick your money into a 70cc kit, set that up properly then you'll have serious gains. Alternatively if your bikes covered a fair few miles on cheap shit oil then i bet you'd benefit from decoking both head and pipe free up gas flow ideal for the higher revving pipe.

And of course if you haven't bothered to upjet for whatever reason then that might also help....help it to run right and to prevent a seizure, not like they tell you to upjet to please next doors dog is it?

Not that mate, Just dont have the money to put into it, 70's is expensive enough, but an engine rebuild is too hard hitting on the wallet. I'm just asking for a second opinion as i don't know what im doing, im fed up of having a pipe bigger than the bike itself on the side, its been chopped and plug on a stalk sticking out the pipe, which im guessing is a restrictor of some sort, as when im WOT the bike bogs, if i go 7/8 throttle its fine, which i think, and im sure ive read somewhere is the jetting. I would getmy dad to jet it, its a simple job, but you need to change idle speed, m,ixture screw etc etc etc etc, i got the haynes manual, but thats for when its all standard, not for a bigger jet etc.

thats the resinator pipe. and acts as a restrictor.
9/10 when you de restrict a standard pipe then you have to crimp the resinator and remove the cone on the manifold.
just keep the doppler s3r theyre good pipes
they have a restrictor in the end can and a cone on the manifold are you sure your mate de restrcited it??

Yeah 200% there is no cone in the manifold and none in the end can, they are both in the box. but i dont have clutch springs or rollers from my mate, just the pipe, not sure if the s3r came with clutch springs but i do have 4.7gr and 5.3gr polinis in the garage so rollers dont matter, At the minute, i cant go full throttle, i can go 7/8 but this is a jetting issue as the pipe has been derestricted from variator and from the resignator and bogs on full throttle.

ts putting it into a garage i cant afford... I don't know how to do it myself, setting up carb afterwards etc, i got like £70 but 50+ will be gone into getting it jetted and then im out of money for rest of month, petrol etc...

OFC i wanna get it done, but cant til end of Feb, when i get payed, then ill put the Doppler on, hand it into the garage, get them to upjet it and off i go, simple.
