Eakfjsdfjenz, iahelignad. This is driving me crazy.

Basically I'm 17 in September and will be riding to college which is about 10 miles away. At the moment I ride an aerox, which has just had a full custom paintjob as well as a full engine rebuild with a PM crank and big carb etc..

The dilemma is; do I keep my aerox and get a 70 kit for when I'm 17, or do I use my 1978 Honda 125 4 stroke. At the moment the Honda is having a full rebuild, and it's gonna be pretty special. It also sounds fucking beefy, and does about 80mpg. But, it has 12hp and will do about 65mph.

My aerox will JUST pull 60mph, and with a 70 kit (stage6 streetrace) it will see about 70mph.

So, what do you guys think? I don't want a slow bike, but I do prefer riding geared so the Honda will make sense. I reckon the Honda will also be a cooler bike to have, and it won't sound embarrassing. But on the other hand, the aerox will be fast, and it's convenient as I already ride it on the road.

    Help :(

Heres pic of what the two bikes will look like. These pictures aren't of my actual bikes, but the aerox is almost identical (the paintjob was based on the picture).

Thanks for the reply mate :)

Problem is, my aerox is shit on fuel! Less then 30mpg at the moment o_O it makes the honda seem very tempting

Hmm that's the thing, the Honda will definitely be the most reliable. Its bulletproof :D but I reckon the aerox is more fun

Imo keep the rox i recon the Honda is ugly. If you want speed get a dt or Ktm 125 road legal but it isn't reliable but fucking rapid!

Thinkve made up my mind, my aerox starting vibrating really bad today and it's sealed the deal. Too unreliable for me, I'm gonna sell it in septemeber.
