just fitted c16 scooter misses at high revs

hey i have just fitted a yasuni c16 pipe to my scooter and when i try open the throttle at high revs it sounds like it hits a rev limiter could this be it backfiring or is it because i need to down jet my carb although it does no feel like it is running rich it js misses every couple of seconds at high revs when i hold open the throttle has this ever happened to anyone else thanks for any help

 

what jet u got in, is it the standard carb,filter etc..........

 

i have standard carb 17.5 and a polini air filter with pm tuning reed valve. i used to have a leo vince tt on it and it ran fine but wanted a c16 for the performance. i also have lightened the rollers for the exhaust but don't no jet size i will check tomorrow in morning do you think it needs a smaller main jet

 

keep a close eye on your plug colour!!

c16 usually requires a larger main jet than a TT, stick a fresh plug in, ive had 1 or 2 plugs that have run fine, then miss/breakdown on full throttle...
